The Beau Hunks Orchestra

Live at The Conertgebouw DVD NTSC (USA)

DVD built around the fantastic live performance by The Beau Hunks at The Concertgebouw in February of 2000. This concert (which was completely sold out) was recorded with 6 cameras, and both stage and hall microphones. You'll be able to hear -- and view -- this concert at home in widescreen and with Dolby Digital sound. The DVD is not region-encoded and will play everywhere around the world, BUT IT IS IN NTSC FORMAT SO IF YOU ARE IN THE U.S.A., please check if your dvd-player can handle PAL discs, next to your own NTSC system. Together with the DVD we have released the concert on VHS as well, in both PAL and NTSC; however, we strongly suggest you choose the DVD since this one really brings you the best of the Beau Hunks, including extra features such as tour posters (on disc!) and biographies, but even more important, digital picture- and sound quality. More details about the concert: The Beau Hunks performed in their largest incarnation (41 players). There is music from all composers covered on the Beau Hunks CD's, as well as some new ones. Performances range from the smallest line-up (the Sextette) to middle (the Soctette) to XL (the Orchestra). A special line-up was formed for Raymond Scott`s ''The Toy Trumpet.'' (RealAudio) Another feature of the concert was the live underscoring of the Laurel & Hardy film This Purple Moment -- the orchestra performed live music & sound effects in synch with a large screen projection of the film...
